Pick the kind when you start a collection and the app talks your language — "Add magnet", "Photograph your first spoon". Collecting something we didn't think of? Name it yourself.

The camera opens the moment you add a souvenir. Take the shot, check the place name the app read off the print, save. The memory can come later, when it comes back to you.
Camera first: open the app, add a souvenir, and the viewfinder is already up. Crop it if you like, or pick a shot from your library. The photo is the souvenir's face everywhere in the app.
Pocket Curio reads the text printed on the souvenir — right on your phone — and fills in the place for you to check. "KEY WEST" lands in the field before you've typed a letter; anything else it read is one tap away.
When you're ready, add the date, the trip or occasion, who gave it to you, a rating, and the story. Then open the Map and watch the states and countries light up, one place at a time.

Adding a souvenir opens straight into the camera. Take the photo, type or confirm the place, save — the whole first step takes under ten seconds.
On-device text recognition reads what's printed on the souvenir and offers it as the place name. You check the spelling; the photo never leaves your phone.
Already have a fridge full? One photo of the whole door, box each magnet with your finger, and every box becomes its own souvenir with its place read off it. Forty magnets in a few minutes.
Each collection is a photo grid you can sort by date or by place — as close to standing in front of the shelf as a phone gets.
The keychain collector and the fridge-magnet collector in the same house each get their own collection, each named the way they'd say it: "Dad's keychains", "Mom's fridge".
